I’m reading IMDB news (since I need my daily dose of celebrity news, which I like to think of as fake news) and read the following line:
Kelly Osbourne has checked herself back into a drug treatment centre, only a year after completing a successful stint in rehab.
How can you call a stay in a drug treatment center “successful” if you have to check yourself back into a drug treatment center after only a year?
That would be like me getting 100% on a midterm and then getting 0% on the final exam. Could I call that a “successful stint” in my class? I think not.
Not that I’m complaining. I just find it funny.
