This weeks installment of the Friday Five:
1. What is your favorite time of year?
I would have to say Fall is my favorite season, then Spring. Winter and Summer suck equally. One is too cold and the other is usually too hot. The only good thing about the summer is my cottage (as I mentioned a while ago).
2. What is it about your favorite season that, well, makes it your favorite season?
The leaves changing colour (specifically when we go up to the cottage to close it for the winter), starting to wear sweaters but not having to wear a coat, the fact that it may be cold but the sun still comes out, the days slowly getting shorter and shorter and those Indian Summer days where it is warm outside and you just want to lay in a pile of leaves and watch the clouds drift by.
3. What is your least favorite time of year? Why?
I dislike the middle of summer when the humidity is way to high for anyone to want to be alive. And I don’t really like blizzard type during the winter. Actually I do like it when I don’t have to go out in it.
4. Do you do anything to celebrate or recognize the changing of seasons?
Other than changing the clocks for Daylight Savings Time (Spring forward and Fall behind). In Canada we tend to live day to day, one day it may be t-shirt weather where the next day a blizzard may be swirling around outside. Especially during the winter 🙂
5. What’s your favorite thing to do outside?
I took up mountain biking last year, until I broke my wrist. I will be getting back into that when the weather is a little nicer. I really have to say my favorite thing to do outside is boating. Be it paddleboating, canoeing, kayaking (which I’ve never really done but would like to) or motorboating it’s always a good time.
And thus completes Friday Five for this week. 🙂
