Friday Five – September 13th, 2002

Time for my weekly Friday Afternoon Five:
1. What was/is your favorite subject in school? Why?
I didn’t really have a favorite. I always like Art, even though I was horrible at it. I was always intrigued by science and eventually learned to like math. Finite may have been one of my favorite high school subjects. Come on! Who doesn’t like probabilities?
2. Who was your favorite teacher? Why?
My high school Chemistry teacher Mr. Gresko. Sometimes he was crabby, sometimes he was fun, he told us we would all live in cardboard boxes, he told us how to distill liquor, he told how to make Loon (see Virtual Cam) soup and he gave me a 98% in his Grade 13 Chemistry course. What’s there not the love?
3. What is your favorite memory of school?
At this point in my life all of the memories have kind of jumbled together. Graduating is always nice 🙂
4. What was your favorite recess game?
I was also picked last. But since I have to pick on I would say Red Rover. You know the game where there were two lines of kids all holding hands and you’d call out “Red Rover, Red Rover, Let (insert name), Come over” and then that kid would have to try and smash through the other sides line. If you didn’t smash through then you were stuck on their side.
5. What did you hate most about school?
Having to get up at 7:30 in the morning to catch the bus so I could get to school by 8:30 or so. That always sucked!
