Friday Five – September 6, 2002

Well I have time for one quick Friday Five. I know it’s not real content but it will have to do 🙂
1. What is your biggest pet peeve? Why?
When someone asks me a questions without thinking about it beforehand. My mom is especially good at this. For example we both sit down turn on the TV and start watching a TV show that is half over. Then she starts to ask me about the plot and what is happening. She doesn’t realize that we both started watching it at the same time and that I know as much about the show as she does. This has happened many many times.
2. What irritating habits do you have?
I bite my fingernails. I can get unintentionally annoying at times, even to myself.
3. Have you tried to change the irritating habits or just let them be?
For the fingernails thing I did stop for a while because I had someone to attempt to impress. When that fell through it started up again. As for being annoying I usually catch myself and stop being annoying.
4. What grosses you out more than anything else? Why?
There isn’t a whole lot that grosses me out. I realized last night that I probably shouldn’t watch CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and eat at the same time. It wasn’t that bad though.
5. What one thing can you never see yourself doing that other people do?
Can’t think of anything right now. I don’t know if I could go skydiving or bungee-cording. Actually I could see myself skydiving but not bungee-cording. Bungee-cording is just dumb though cheaper than skydiving.
Well that’s it. Now I’m off to work. I promise there will be cottage pictures forthcoming. I promise!!! 🙂

At least you don’t TEAR the skin off your fingers. That’s what I do. And I can get really obsessive/compulsive about it. My colleagues all know of my habit and they asked me if I was “all right”. i.e. They’re implying i’m a little bonkers. But it’s really ok. When you strip off the skin till it gets really bare, you feel strangely “cleansed”.
I can’t bite my nails, btw. ‘Cos my teeth don’t meet. Yup. =P

Is spending way too much time in front of the computer an annoying habit? 😉
By the way, I love Matilda. Read the book. Watched the movie. Loved both.
