FQ TOPIC: Temperature.
FQ1: What’s the coldest you’ve ever been and where was that?
When you’re Canadian you don’t remember your coldest days. You just remember that there have been a lot of them. I know there have been times when it felt like -35 degrees Celsius (that’s -31 Fahrenheit for those of you from the states). That -35 includes the wind chill factor which means that the temperature was probably only -20 to -25 in reality.
FQ2: What’s the warmest you’ve ever been and where was that?
Surprisingly the warmest I’ve ever been is in the same place where I’ve been the coldest. Canadian is a country of extremes. In the winter it can be very cold and in the summer it can be really warm. I think the warmest I’ve ever been (before taking into account the effect of humidity on the temperature) is around 35 Celsius (95 Fahrenheit). Though once you added on the humidex it makes it feel a little warmer.
FQ3: If you had to choose, would you rather be too warm or too cold?
I really don’t know. There are pros and cons for both. If it’s too cold you can just start up a fire, turn up the furnace or put on lots of extra clothing. If it’s too warm you can turn up the air conditioning (if you have it), jump in a pool or climb in the freezer. Though I think the too cold options are cheaper and more reasonable, but not as much fun.
FQ Ego: What’s a moment you were at your coolest? Your hottest?
I’m always cool. Just like a cucumber! Oh wait a second. Never cool have I been. Never hot either 🙁
