Grandpa passed away on Friday May 16th at 9:50 pm at the Tillsonburg General Hospital. He had another heart attack Friday morning. His heart capacity dropped from 15% to 10%. His breathing became laboured and he was completely unresponsive.
Firda, my brother and I went down to Tillsonburg after attending my cousin’s funeral. We stayed at the hospital until 8:50 or so before going home. My dad and mom stayed behind, with my aunt and uncle, to stay by his side. My father was there when my grandfather passed away. He just stopped breathing and was gone.
It is a sad time but I’m also glad he isn’t in pain anymore. If he had survived he would have had a long recovery period, and his standard of living would have been much reduced.
The funeral is next Friday. We are having it this late due to the Canadian long weekend – since the obituaries won’t get out there until Wednesday.

I’m so sorry Troy – I don’t know what I’ll do when my papa dies – I’m glad that he isn’t in pain and I hope your dad is okay. I’ll be thinking of you and your family especially much this week.
