It’s time for a meme. It’s in the extended entry if you want to check it out. The things I’ve done are bolded.
NOTE: 36 out of 99 is not bad, if I must say so.

1. Started your own blog.
Absolutely. You’re reading it. Firda, Nit and Wari helped me with starting it.
2. Slept under the stars.
I’ve slept in a tent which was under the stairs. I’ve never slept outside. Likely not a good idea when you reach the dew point.
3. Played in a band.
Nah. My friends and I have a bunch of fictional bands – like the Tijuana Crackwhores, but alas I can’t play instruments.
4. Visited Hawaii.
5. Watched a meteor shower.
Several times. I remember sitting in my parents yard watching them years ago.
6. Given more than you can afford to charity.
Sadly I can’t say that I have.
7. Been to Disneyland/world.
I went to the one in Orlando with my parents when I was 15 or 16. That was the same trip our van was stolen from the hotel we stayed at in Philadelphia.
8. Climbed a mountain.
Not really – though I have hiked around in the Cairngorms (in Scotland) and climbed to the top of Arthur’s seat in Edinburgh (which is really just a big hill).
9. Held a praying mantis.
Never held one. Seen many of them. Too freaky to hold.
10. Sang a solo.
I use to sing in the choir at church when I was a young pre-pubescent boy. My sweet angelic voice. Not really though.
11. Bungee jumped.
I’d like to try. Though I’m not sure if I could make myself jump.
12. Visited Paris.
Yes. In the summer of 2000 during my whirlwind tour of Europe.
13. Watched a lightning storm at sea.
Not sure. I don’t think so, but I could be wrong.
14. Taught yourself an art from scratch.
Is doodling and art?
15. Adopted a child.
16. Had food poisoning.
I don’t think so. I’ve had the 24 hour flu a couple of times, which could have been food poisoning.
17. Walked to the top of the Statue of Liberty.
18. Grown your own vegetables.
Maybe this year.
Edit: Dave reminded me that my parents use to have a garden when I was younger – they use to use a community garden when we lived in Cambridge and then started a garden at our house when we moved to the country. I think we also had a really small garden in our backyard in Cambridge – most tomatoes if I remember correctly.
19. Seen the Mona Lisa in France.
It wasn’t all that interesting. Small painting behind an inch of plexiglas. There are cooler things in the Louvre.
20. Slept on an overnight train.
21. Had a pillow fight.
With my brother. Feather-down pillows really pack a wallop.

23. Taken a sick day when you’re not ill.
Haven’t we all taken days off for the sake of your sanity?
24. Built a snow fort.
Forts, castles, caves. I live in Canada. This is what you do when you’re a kid – or an adult – or an Inuit.

26. Gone skinny dipping.
Once. A crazy going away party. Good times.
27. Run a Marathon.
28. Ridden in a gondola in Venice.
29. Seen a total eclipse.
Yes. If you have eyes you’ve probably seen one. Or averted your eyes and saw it peripherally.
30. Watched a sunrise or sunset.
Yes. Usually up at the cottage.
31. Hit a home run.
Not for a long time, but I’m sure I did it once or twice back in my childhood.
32. Been on a cruise.
33. Seen Niagara Falls in person.
I’ve always lived between 1.5 to 2 hours from the Falls so I’ve seen them many times.
34. Visited the birthplace of your ancestors.
I’ve been to Belgium, my father’s home country. As for my mom’s side I’d likely have to go to England and Ireland – I’ve already been to Scotland which I believe that side of the family is partly.
35. Seen an Amish community.
We live in Mennonite country. Mennonites are very similar to the Amish so I’m saying yes!
36. Taught yourself a new language.

38. Seen the Leaning Tower of Pisa in person.

Absolutely. Though I don’t think it was a romantic experience.

Twice. Once when I was 12 or 13 (it ended up being a bad case of gas) and the second time was almost 3 years ago when I had my bout of appendicitis.

I have one of those silly caricatures, done at Ontario Place, but no paintings.

49. Seen the Sistine Chapel in person.
50. Been to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Yup. It was a really nice view, though I thought the view at the top of the Arc d’Triomphe was better.

I think I’ve kissed Firda in the rain – or the snow. It’s all precipitation.

Damn straight. Though usually close to water.

My parents use to go to the drive-in with me and my brother when we were younger. We would play at the playground with other kids before the movie, get in to our pyjamas between the first and second movie, be carried by my dad to the washrooms when we needed to go, and carried to bed after we fell asleep in the car on the way home. I miss going to the drive-in.

Yup. When we were in British Columbia. We saw two humpback whales.

I tried a couple of times when I was in high school. For many different reasons they didn’t want it.

Again I’d love to do it. Not sure if I could make myself jump out.

My dad has most of our childhood toys back at my parents place.

I broken one of the big bones in my leg when I was 6 or 7.
I broke a bone in my left hand wrist several years ago.

Yup. Still paying for it.

Canadian indie film make, Bruce MacDonald sat down at the table I was sitting at with friends and had a quick conversation with us. He signed a couple of things for us. That was cool.

Death takes loved ones away. I’ve lost many loved ones that way.

95. Seen the Alamo in person.
