One of the perks of working at the university is that if all of the public schools in town are closed I get a paid day off of work. That is what’s happened today. Due to an unexpected ice storm in Ontario I’ve been given the day off. This is the shortest work week I’ve had in ages what with being sick on Monday and then this. I guess it’s pretty slippery out there. I only got up about an hour ago and haven’t dressed yet. Yipee!!! I feel like a little public school kid!!

Although one day while I was in college, they cancelled afternoon classes on account of high winds. But that’s not quite the same I guess.
It’s a shame the storm hit Quebec during the weekend… I guess I will be staying home today.
