I just found out that Christopher Guest just made another mockumentary called A Mighty Wind. If your like me (and have a similar sense of humour) one of your favorite comedies of all time is Best in Show which is a Chistopher Guest movie. The new movie follows the reunion of a folk music trio called the Folksmen and I assume the wackiness that comes from this event.
If you’ve seen Best in Show and Waiting for Guffman you know that Guest tends to use a group of actors for his movies. This one is no different with Fred Willard, Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara and Michael McKean to name a few. It’s also funny because the fictional Folksmen trio are made up of Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer who played the fictional heavy rock band Spinal Tap in This is Spinal Tap (another mockumentary). Should be a good movie.
