BooksBooksBooks Meme

A book meme from Marmalade:
Q: You’re stuck inside Fahrenheit 451, which book do you want to be?
(As I mentioned to Kelly in Farenheit 451 books are outlawed so they are burnt. The main character stumbles on a society of people that memorize a book, so in essence they become the book. That is what they meant by that question.)
I would love to be Alice in Wonderland or Alice’s Adventures Through the Looking Glass. Very nonsensical, which is what I like to be at times.
Q: Have you ever had a crush on a fictional character?
Not that I can recall. I know I’ve read a lot of books where I feel like I know them in the real world. I’ve also felt sad when I finish a book that is either not part of a series, or the end of a series and I realize I’ll never read another story about the characters. If that made any sense.
Q: The last book you bought is:
Philip Pullman’s “The Northern Lights” which I found out is just the UK version of “The Golden Compass” which I bought a week or so ago.
Q: The last book you read:
The last book I read and finished would be Consider the Following by Bill Nye the Science Guy. Yes yes. It is a kid’s book. I was using it as a bathroom book. Something that can be read in small spurts.
Q: What are you currently reading?
I’m reading Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff by Christopher Moore. I’ve been reading it for some time. It’s a good book, I just don’t take enough time to sit down and read. I’m also reading McSweeney’s Issue #7 and Oddly Enough by Robert Basler (which is a book of weird stories from Reuters, the news service).
Q: Five books you would take to a desert island.
Too much thinking involved with this question.
I would probably take Stardust by John Gribbin.
Alice in Wonderland (as stated above) by Lewis Carroll.
A Collection of Dr Seuss stories (one of those dozen in one books).
Home Game by Paul Quarrington.
Watership Down by Richard Adams.
Q: Who are you going to pass this stick to (3 persons) and why?
Whoever wants to do it can do it. I shouldn’t place any kind of obligation on anyone.
