China and the USA

As most people have likely heard a Falun Gong activist disrupted the welcoming ceremony for Chinese President Hu Jintao yesterday. During the Chinese presidents speech she yelled at him and Bush to stop persecution of Falun Gong followers in China. I don’t know much about the Falun Gong, and the reasons the Chinese government makes it illegal to follow the religion, but I do believe there should be more people like Wenyi Wang in the world. It takes a lot of courage and conviction to stand up for something you believe in, especially in from of the leader of your country knowing that you will likely be escorted away, charged with something, and other such reprecussions.
I salute you Wenyi Wang for standing up for your convictions and making your contribution.
This is also on a day when I heard that around 100,000 Napalese were demonstrated around the Nepal capital of Kathmandu, to demand that the monarchy reinstate democracy process after the king ceased power only 14-months ago. Sadly three demonstrators were killed during the demonstrations.
