There is nothing like a fire alarm in your apartment building at 11:00 pm to get your heart racing. I guess someone smelt smoke, called 911 about it and was told to pull the fire alarm to get everyone out. We all made our way out and within 5 minutes the fire department was here. They checked out the building, called the landlord (to shut the alarm and check out the apartment where the smell was though to originate from) and then we were let back in.
I’ve been meaning to get apartment insurance and you can bet that I will be doing that first thing Monday morning. I don’t have much of importance in my apartment but to think that all of my movies/CDs/games etc. aren’t covered if they burn kind of freaked me out. Yes siree. Insurance on Monday.
