The weekend is over and the work week once again begins. I had a really fun weekend. On Friday night I went to my parents place, as I said a couple of posts ago. That night I hung out with a bunch of people I haven’t seen in a couple of months. One of them had been working in Vietnam and only came home last Wednesday. It was great seeing her again. I really missed her. I went over to her place for dinner with her family and then she showed us all the pictures she took while over in Vietnam. We then hung out at a local pub and ended the night with dancing. It was a lot of fun even the dancing part, since I don’t really like the bar itself.
Saturday night a group of friends including SMooSH and Chuck (the face that is known around the world as Scary Chuck) went to see the Kids in the Hall (KiTH). For those of you who know who KiTH you will be happy to know that the show was excellent. They did a bunch of their popular skits with popular characters, such as the Chicken Lady, Head-Crusher, Sir Simon Milligan and Hecubus, Danny Husk, Gavin, Darrill and Buddy Cole. We had excellent seats, being 8 rows from the front, and I tried to take some pictures. Some of them worked out but most of them were blurry. I will post a select few in a couple of days. After the show we went out for beers at a place called Chester’s Beers of the World. They had beers from all over the place. I tried two Belgian beers. Hoegaarden White and Kriek Belle-Vue. The first was a very light beer with a fruity aftertaste and the Kriek was Cherry beer, which is a good sipping beer.
Sadly Saturday night we had to turn our clocks ahead an hour, due to Daylight Savings Times (DST), so I ended up losing an hour of sleep. You know what? If I could go back in time I would go back and make Ben Franklin rethink DST and if he didn’t end up deciding they were a stupid idea I would do something bad to him. Stupid Ben Franklin!
