I’m back from the dead. Though the news of my death has been greatly exagerated.
I apologize for neglecting all of you. You know how working has a tendency to drain you of all your energy? That’s what is happening to me. Don’t get me wrong I love my job. I just wish I didn’t have to get up earlier than I want to 🙂
So the past couple of weekends have been fun and eventful. Two weekends ago Firda and I hung out at my cottage with my parents. We played crokinole, check out the local garage sales, did some hiking, went canoeing and just generally chilled. It was too short though. I’m heading back up this weekend (on Thursday night) for the August long weekend. Close to a dozen of my friends will be joining me in a weekend that will probably see more than it’s fair share of drunk people.
This past weekend Firda and I went to wedding #3 for this year. A graduate student friend of mine got hitched. We had a really good time. The service was long, but no too long. The day was beautiful. The food was excellent. The company was great and the dancing was spasmatic. I got to hang out with my former supervisor and his wife plus a former graduate student who I haven’t seen in 5 or 6 months. Plus to my surprise it was the first time that Firda had ever danced at a wedding (since Indonesian weddings are much different than North American / European weddings).
Now I’m just getting ready for the weekend. I am taking Friday of this week off (and might try to head out early on Thursday) then we get Monday off since it is the August civic holiday. Super long weekends rock. Short work weeks rock. Getting paid ever two weeks rocks!!
Anyways I hope this weblog satisfies those of you who still check my blog and those of you who are living with me right now. 🙂

Keep practicing, and someday you too will neglect your site for weeks at a time. It’s all about willpower.
