So after disappear for more than two months Blue Goo Ate My Mom is back! Though sadly it is at a different domain name! The story goes:
I forgot to renew my domain name and didn’t receive any emails about it since I never updated my contact email address – so all of my mail was going to a defunct email address. The domain registrar I was using shifted my domain status to “If you want this domain name we are holding it hostage” (aka pay 15 times what you should be paying and you can have it back). I decided I would wait and grab my .NET domain when it expired – sadly I forgot about the vultures. Those assholes (like ELB GROUP, INC.) who pounce on domain names and try to make a profit on selling them to other people. I guess my domain was desirable since it’s been linked by Firda’s blog many many times – and she has quite a nice rating.
Anyways to make a long story short. I didn’t get my .NET domain name back and decided to get a .CA for the time being. I will likely keep my eye on the .NET domain and steal it back when I can. It expires in a year.
So if you are stumbling across my new domain and you’ve linked to me please update your blog. I don’t need the .NET getting hits from all my adoring fans. I want that well to dry up on them. 🙂
I have a bunch of stuff to blog about in the near future as well – seeing Hayden in concert, going to Winter-peg, seeing Henry Rollins (next Monday). So stay tuned!
