Extended Absence and Weddings

So I’ve been blog-uninspired recently. There are things to write about but I don’t have the inspiration to turn these experiences into interesting stories. Though I will try to give everyone an update:
(a) Since it’s the summer TV shows are kind of boring – though I’ve started watching the new version of Dr. Who (Season 3) and I’m really enjoying it. The production values are pretty good and the stories are quite interesting (though I’ve had some concern with plot holes in some of the shows).
(b) This past weekend we went to the second wedding (and likely last) of the year. My friends Kim and Brian tied the knot in Guelph, Ontario on Saturday. The day started off kind of sketchy – it would rain for half an hour and then it would clear up. Everyone was concerned that the weather was going to remain crappy – especially since it was an outside wedding. The weather remained overcast until the minute the wedding started. The clouds disappeared, the sun came out and the wind died down. The wedding was beautiful and the party that ensued was great. Everyone has a great time, and the bride and groom were basking in the glow.
(c) Kim and Brian’s wedding was also a benchmark for Firda. She was the “official” photographer for the wedding. As I mentioned it wasn’t a traditional wedding and the couple didn’t want the traditional wedding photos. They gave Firda full control over what she took pictures of, and she caught a tonne of great candid shots. She is almost down with the post-processing.
(d) On Sunday we went back to Kim and Brian’s for a post-wedding breakfast. Breakfast included left overs from the night before plus the additional breakfast food. It didn’t take much to fill me up. Following the breakfast a bunch of us went out to see “Superbad“. Two workds: FREAKIN’ HILLARIOUS! Though a word of warning – if you are easily offended (and can’t handle a lot of talk about genitalia and the like) do not see this movie. I give it four and a half stars (out of five), and I give the trailers before the movie a F—-. 🙂
(e) That is all I can think of at this point.
