Here is this weeks Friday Five. It’s late and I need to sleep so I will be short and sweet:
1. What is your favorite restaurant and why?
Right now I am thinking the Mongolian Grill. I really like how you can make your own stir fry and they will cook it for you right in front of you. I also like trying to heap as much food as I can into one bowl.
2. What fast food restaurant are you partial to?
For good fast food I would have to go with a little Chinese restaurant called Sunshine Restaurant that is close to my University. They make this really good vermicelli noodle mixture with shrimp, chicken and pork. So good. For bad fast food I’m partial to Taco Bell. I like to play a game when I eat there. Before eating I try to figure out whether the food with stay in my stomach for a long time or whether it will go straight through. I know, I know, too much information!
3. What are your standards and rules for tipping?
I tend to tip on minimum 15%. Tend to go up to 20% if the service is really good and/or the waiter/waitress is a student. Students deserve a little more help. If the service is crappy it all depends on my mood. I might go as low as 10% but usually tip the customary 15%.
4. Do you usually order an appetizer and/or dessert?
I usually only order an appetizer if I’m eating with a group of people (and not in a hurry). That way we can share it but not get really full off of it. Dessert is a toss up. Usually I don’t but if something catches my eye an internal struggle begins. Should I get it or shouldn’t I. Chocolate cakes/mousses are usually my undoing!
5. What do you usually order to drink at a restaurant?
Usually I will get a Coke or Pepsi. I prefer Pepsi but fountain Coke isn’t as bad as the bottled stuff. Occasionally I’ll get a beer but I rarely ever drink and/or I’m driving so I don’t usually get one.
And there she is. The Friday Five for one more week. All this talk of food has made me hungry. No eating for me! Sleeping! Off the bed now.

Mongolian Grill! Yum, yum, yum! 🙂 I frequent MG and Curry in a Hurry quite a bit, although today I ended up at a Vietnamese place downtown (Waterloo), I can never remember the name of the place, but the food there is really good.
I don’t really like rice (yes yes I hear you all gasp!) so I’ve never gone to Curry in a Hurry. And where was the Vietnamese restaurant? How was it? I like Vietnamese food. Always looking for new places to eat. 🙂
