Friday Five – Feb. 21st, 2003

Friday Five once again:
1. What is your most prized material possession?
I don’t think I have one. When I was a comic book collector I would have probably picked one (or all) of my comics. Right now I’m not sure. I have too many possessions (mostly in the form of books, CDs, records and DVDs). Next question!
2. What item, that you currently own, have you had the longest?
It would probably be my stuffed dog named Scruffy (at least I think that is what I named him). I got him from my godmother a couple of days after I was born. I’ve got pictures of me and the dog. I really should dig him out of storage.
3. Are you a packrat?
Without a question. My dad is a bigger packrat than I am. He actually built a barn just to store all of him crap in. Whenever we are out there trying to find something he always likes to remind me “When I die you and your brother are going to have to clean all this stuff up”. 🙂
4. Do you prefer a spic-and-span clean house? Or is some clutter necessary to avoid the appearance of a museum?
Since I’ve been living with housemates for the past 7 years I would have to say that I like the common living areas being relatively clean (not spic-and-span but clean). My personal living area (the bedroom) can be as messy as I want it to be. I’m the only one that has to live in it so why should I worry about other people. That might change once (and if) I ever have a girlfriend.
5. Do the rooms in your house have a theme? Or is it a mixture of knick-knacks here and there?
Yes. We have a place we like to call “the living room” and another called “the bathroom”. There is also “the kitchen”, “the bedrooms” and the “dining room”. There is even “the office” and “the laundry/furnace room”. Plus the “router room”. 🙂

  1. lol
Good answer for #5. Oddly enough, our apartment is themed the same way! All except for the “laundry/furnace room”, which I WISH we had. Laundrymats suck rocks.
