I miss the Friday Five. SMooSH also misses the Friday Five so he created the Interim Friday to tide us over till the real Five comes back.
Here goes.
1. If you could eat only one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? (Nutritional concerns aside.)
I would eat chocolate eclairs. I know I wouldn’t feel very good most of the time but I would love it.
2. Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?
We once breakdanced together. The devil does a mean windmill!
3. Have you ever been in a movie?
There was potential. I was in Washington, D.C. on a class trip and we stumbled upon this one street where they were filling “In The Line Of Fire” with Clint Eastwood, Rene Russo and John Malkovich. We were in the crowd while they filmed a couple of takes with Clint and Rene running beside the presidents car. We only stuck around for 3 takes and then we left. I highly doubt that I was in any of the takes used. It was interesting though. 🙂
4. What jobs have you had?
Hmmm. Ginseng Weeder, Stock Boy at Stedmans, worked on two different corn farms, worked for the regional government in the water works department (where my jobs included cutting lawns, raking, fire hydrant painting, going out on clogged sewer line calls, handing out water consumption reduction kits, handing out water shut-off notices etc.), mechanical designer/CAD Monkey in the robotics division at an injection molding company, production engineer at Goodyear Tires, process engineer at Wescast (maker of exhaust manifolds for vehicles), research assistant/graduate student. That’s all I can think of right now.
5. How would you punish spammers that send disgusting emails with titles such as “R.a.p.e Sex”?
By bludgeoning them with a stinky wet gross smelling fish. And then flogging them with wet noodles and then hanging them by their toenails from the ceiling.
And thus ends the Interim Friday Five.

Gee, you make the jobs I’ve had sound so boring: seasonal translator for Food and Agricultural Organization (F.A.O.), which is a U.N. agency where my mum used to work (not bad for a first job); student librarian at the Faculty of Public Health library in my uni as well as the library of some weird and mysterious organisation that probably doesn’t exist anymore; study centre supervisor in a prep school full of rich and spoiled brats with no manners; cataloger at the U.S. Library of Congress, Southeast Asia Office (quite a traumatic experience); and freelance, (self-proclaimed) web designer.
Thanks to you, now I have a craving for chocolate eclairs. Ack!
Gosh, I think the jobs I had are the most boring: tuition teacher for some primary school children, relief teacher in a secondary school, marketing assistant in an exhibition firm, marketing assistant in Singapore Telecom (now called Singtel), product executive in Singtel Yellow Pages, account specialist in Seagate Technology and now my current job in customer service in a semi-government company.
Gah! I’m also thinking about chocolate eclairs now.
