I wasn’t planning on posting again today (after my Easter greeting) but I saw this on Neil‘s site and couldn’t resist. 23 questions about me. I’ll put it in the extended entry since some of you may not care ๐
1: Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says:
“Computations (Foreman, 1967) show that if the rest of the dislocation is ignored, then B=0.56 for a segment initially screw, and 0.83 for an edge”. This is from a book called “Strengthening Methods in Crystals”. No idea what it means. I know some of the words but not the context. This is what I get for doing this questionaire at work.
2: Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?
Computer monitor or printer. Nothing else that close to me.
3: What is the last thing you watched on TV?
Hmmm. The last thing I watched would have been a crappy kids show called “Big Wolf on Campus“. The TV was on. I was on the computer. I wasn’t really watching it on purpose ๐
4: WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what the time is:
11:30ish.
5: Now look at the clock; what is the actual time?
11:18
6: With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?
The ventilation system fan blowing cold air into my office.
7: When did you last step outside? What were you doing?
This morning when I left my apartment to come to work. I’ll probably be stepping outside at lunchtime to get something to eat.
8: Before you came to this website, what did you look at?
Well I went to Neil‘s World where I saw this. Before that it would have been Firda‘s weblog.
9: What are you wearing?
Black t-shirt that says B.A. Baracus Army (it’s for the B.A. Baracus band), brown cords, boxers, old falling apart socks and my pseudo-bowling shoes.
10: Did you dream last night?
I think I did. I can’t remember many details though. It’s just a fuzzy recollection that I did.
11: When did you last laugh?
Hmmm. Yesterday I think. Probably at the TV or something I read on a website. Not sure.
12: What is on the walls of the room you are in?
Oh geez. A bunch of posters, comic strips, silly inspirational quotes from a quote-of-the-day calender, a graduate student phone list from 2000, post-it notes about our research, a couple of coats hanging from coat hooks, a blackboard and the network outlet for our computer.
13: Seen anything weird lately?
The last weird think I saw was this article on Eyeball Jewelry. I read about it over on Melissa‘s blog.
14: What do you think of this quiz?
Interesting. At least for me. Probably boring for everyone else ๐
15: What is the last film you saw?
Freddy Vs. Jason. A good movie as long as your going in with the knowledge that you are going to be watching a stupid horror movie. Funny at times. A little gorey (but still nothing compared to the Passion of the Christ). Overall enjoyable. Not oscar caliber but nice mindless fun.
16: If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?
A plane ticket for Firda so she could travel anywhere she wanted. Hopefully to Canada ๐
17: Tell me something about you that I don
Comment
Fun. That was more interesting than those surveys that ask “coke or pepsi. what color is your hair. blahblahblah.”
