Thus is the Hiatus Broken

So I’m back. Everyone rejoice 🙂 Things have been semi-sorted out and I feel the urge to write even though I have nothing much to write about. I haven’t talk about my vacation plans for the summer. I’m planning on going to Scotland for two weeks in August. Initially the plan was to do both Scotland and England but due to time and monetary constraints we decided to just do Scotland. I’m going to be leaving on August 8th and travelling until the 24th. We (myself and two friend from Toronto) are flying into Glasgow where we will meet up with a friend who is living there. The first week is going to be spent mostly in Glasgow, Edinburgh and surrounding areas. The second week we are tossing around the idea of renting a cottage close to Loch Ness. At this point in the trip 4 friends from Germany are going to be joining us and it would be easier to have a base of operations from which everyone could meet and coordinate around. It seems that there are a lot of interesting things within driving distance (2 or 3 hours) of the cottage we are looking at plus the cottage is really nice and modern. That way we would save on accomodations (since the price of the rental would be split 7 ways) and the price of food would be lower since we could cook for ourselves unless we are elsewhere at meal times. I’m looking forward to this. I just hope I have enough money to really enjoy it. I’m going to be so in debt to the credit card company after this vacation. 🙂

  2. Yeah, pictures, lots of pictures. We want to know if this Loch Ness monster is for real.

  3. Sounds great! I think the cottage is definitely a good idea! I came home a week ago after travelling around England for 3 weeks. We also visited Edinburgh, which I liked a lot.
    I’m sure you’ll have a great time! =)
