Science in Comic Books

With the sudden resurgence of comic books, due to comic-based movies (ie. Spiderman and X-Men), a University of Minnesota professor has started teaching an interesting physics course with the help of superheroes. The course is entitled “Everything I Know about Science I Learned From Reading Comic Books” and uses comic book examples to explain everyday physics. I use to collect comic books, back before they were too expensive, and I would love to have the chance to take this course. I was just about to say something about “real world physics applications” but then I remembered that superheroes aren’t real! I’ve been playing way too much Freedom Force.
