Stuart McLean

Last week I recieved an email from a person who works for the Canadian division of Penguin Books letting me know that she had recently convinced Stuart McLean, a Canadian author and CBC radio personality, into starting his own blog. The person contacting me was a little apprehensive (since she read my entry about the UW Blogger group and what I thought of them) but she shouldn’t have been. I see these as two different situations – in one a University is potentially using students to promote a better-than-true-life vision of the university and in the second situation a publisher is attempting to increase an authors exposure to the public. I have no problem with the second situation since that is the way the marketing and commercial world works. Now I’m just ranting.
Anyways back to the topic at hand. Check out Stuart McLean’s blog. Get into the mind of a great Canadian. See what makes Canadians tick or just read it for the sake of reading.

Funny that they should use Greymatter as the blogging software. It is so two years ago!

  2. I thought the same thing but I forgave them 🙂
