The Weekend in Review

Monday already. I hate when the weekends fly by and there isn’t anything you can do about it. It was a good weekend none the less.
Friday night Firda and I started the evening with a trip to a Vietnamese restaurant. Excellent as always. We then checked out the Kitchener-Waterloo Book Exchange where I procured three Christopher Moore novels (Coyote Blue, Island of the Sequined Nun and Blood-sucking Fiends). We then went to the Conestoga Mall, where we picked up a plastic planter box. After that we were so tired we went home and watched four more episodes from the first season of Scrubs (episodes 9-12), which we are highly addicted to.
Saturday we got up at 8:00 with the intent of going to garage sales. Sadly the heavens were not on our side and it rained all morning. We went to a couple of sales before I was tired of the rain. I did pick up a nice set of binoculars for 5 bucks. I’ll have to get more info on them and see what they are worth. We then hit a couple of thrift shops (I bought a receiver and record player and a bunch of books, Firda picked up a Brownie Hawkeye camera with the flash bulb attachment). We then went to Canadian Tire where we picked up some soil for the planter and a couple annuals and perennials to put in it. Ever since Firda planted them she has been obsessed with her children (aka the plants).
Saturday night my co-workers took us out for dinner to celebrate our marriage. We ate at East Side Mario’s, which is always good. We had a good time just sitting around and telling stories. We got home around 11:00 and were in bed by 12:30.
Sunday was father’s day so after some running around (needed to get a bag for the present and print off a good 8×10 wedding photo to replace the horrible one my parents have) we headed to my parents place for dinner. We sat around for most of the day chatting, trying to find stuff in the garage and the house (my dad always moves my stuff so whenever I need to find it, it has gone missing), playing PONG (more on that in a later post), eating steak and planning our wedding reception/party. Before we knew it, it was time to leave for Waterloo. The rest of the night was spent finishing up the invites and address lists, which we should be sending out tonight. Paper invites for my family (aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents etc.) and then email invites to all my friends who I’m inviting.
Now it’s Monday. I’m having my lunch and I wish I was still at home. ๐Ÿ™‚ Oh well. It looks like I am going to be driving to Indiana at some point this week for work. That should make the week go quicker.

You have the three christopher moore I have not read…interesting….Have I told you lately you’re pretty? Well, you are. And generous.
Side bar-you and pretty lady two (that would be firda) should come to over for Indian Food and garage sales in hog town.

  2. Isn’t it cool to have someone to come home to? My weekends go by way too fast too. Firda is beautiful… and funny! You are truly lucky. Congratulations, once again.
