Firda is one step closer to getting her Permanent Residency status!
On Friday we both got letters from the CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada). My letter said that I was approved as a sponsor for Firda (meaning I met the eligibility requires), and also reminded me of my obligations. Firda’s letter said that she was approved for permanent residency status and that she need to go to a “landing interview” at the local immigration office (likely in Kitchener). She’s nervous about the interview but I’m sure it will be quick and painless. It sound like they are just checking to make sure you are who you say you are.
We are just hoping that the interview doesn’t conflict with the time we are planning to take off next month. I’m sure we could change the date of the interview if needed but we’d like to get it out of the way as soon as possible.
We are super excited about this! Great timing to since we got the letters three days before Firda’s birthday! Yipee!
